England have a series victory in their sights when they take on the West Indies in the 3rd and final Test at Old Trafford, starting on Friday. The host's showing in the 2nd Test will have left them full of confidence, while Ben Stokes is on fire with the bat.

England Form & News

England hit back in the 2nd Test against the West Indies at Old Trafford brilliantly to level the series at 1-1. Dom Sibley and Ben Stokes scored 120 and 176 runs respectively in the first innings as England posted a total of 469 runs.

Stuart Broad and Chris Woakes took three wickets each as England removed the West Indies for 287 runs. That meant England had a healthy 188-run lead going into the second innings. A blistering 129 for 3 declared meant the Windies required a total of 315 runs to win on the final day of the Test.

At times the match looked destined for a draw, but the England bowlers stepped up as time was running out.

England are once again likely to make a few changes in the bowling department. James Anderson should return to the side while Jofra Archer and Mark Wood are likely to be vying for a spot rather than be selected together.

West Indies Form & News

The West Indies really should have claimed a draw in the 2nd Test against hosts England. In a rain interrupted Test, the Windies allowed England to score 469 runs in their first innings. In response, the West Indies could only muster at total of 287.

In search of quick runs to set up a possible win, the hosts scored 128/3 before declaring on the final day of the match. The Windies struggled with the bat and were dismissed for 198 runs, which equated to a 113-run defeat.

The Windies are unlikely to shake things up too much as they are a young team and will need to build some continuity for future series'.
