The 2021 Six Nations got underway on 6 February and will conclude with the final round on 20 March. England went into the competition as slight favourites but France have subsequently taken over the mantle.
Six Nations Results
6 & 7 February
France got their expected bonus point victory over Italy while Scotland upset the odds to beat England at Twickenham. That was the first time in 18 years that the Scots had won the Calcutta Cup on English soil.
Wales, after a horror season in 2020, won their opening match against Ireland. The hosts were slightly fortunate as Ireland looked to be on their way to victory, only for a red card to change the course of the match.
Italy 10-50 France
England 6-11 Scotland
Wales 21-16 Ireland
13 & 14 February
England were expected to easily see off Italy and they did just that. They will still need some massive results if they want to defend their title.
Wales got very fortunate once again as they came from 18-3 down to win at Murrayfield. Once again the Welsh opposition saw a player sent off. Wales are now the only team that can win the Triple Crown.
In the final fixture, France got a massive win in Dublin over Ireland. That result has made them favourites to now claim the Six Nations title, but they do still have to play England at Twickenham.
England 41-18 Italy
Scotland 24-25 Wales
Ireland 13-15 France
26 & 27 February
Wales have won their opening three matches after beating England at the Principality this past weekend. That 40-24 result sent shockwaves around as Wales claimed the triple crown (beating England, Ireland and Scotland).
After a horror 2020, are Wales about to produce the turnaround no one expected? Well, France may still have a say but their match against Scotland was postponed with no alternative date as yet.
In the other fixture, Ireland thrashed Italy 48-10. Italy have been horrid this season so far while Ireland's chances are all but gone after losing their opening two matches.
Italy 10-48 Ireland
Wales 40-24 England
