Senegal were held to a 0-0 by Sudan in March this year. They also drew recently in the CHAN third-place playoff.

Senegal are under a bit of pressure after six matches as they currently find themselves second in a group they were expected to win comfortably. While second place gets you to the playoffs, Senegal will want top spot to secure qualification.

While Senegal are unbeaten, they have drawn three of their six games, winning the other three. On 12 points, they are level with Sudan and one point off DR Congo.

Victory here will give Senegal some breathing room going into the final three matches. But they cannot afford to not take all three points in this fixture.

In March, Senegal drew 0-0 against Sudan before beating Togo 3-0. Since then, they have played a few friendlies, most prominent was their 3-1 win over England at Wembley in June.
