Head to Head

Bosnia and Herzegovina have a slight edge over Switzerland, with one victory to none.

Switzerland Form

Switzerland created plenty of chances in their opening Group B match against Qatar last weekend and were on course to win, but had to settle for a share of the spoils after conceding in second-half stoppage time to draw 1-1.

The Swiss had 70% possession and 27 shots in the game, with seven attempts on target.

Before that disappointing result, the Rossocrociati faced Jordan and Australia in two tune-up matches at the end of May and the start of June ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, winning 4-1 and drawing 1-1, respectively.

In March, Switzerland lost 4-3 to Germany and drew 0-0 with Norway in two international friendly fixtures.

The Nati have drawn three of their last five matches, with one win and one defeat. They scored nine goals and conceded seven.

Switzerland will not be happy with their performance against Qatar after wasting chances to win the game. They will have to be clinical against Bosnia and Herzegovina to get their campaign back on track, but their opponents are not conceding many goals.

Bosnia-Herzegovina Form

Bosnia and Herzegovina secured a point in their opening FIFA World Cup match last weekend, drawing 1-1 with the host nation Canada.

The Dragons had 40% possession and eight shots in the game, with four attempts on target.

Before that, the Zmajevi contested two World Cup warm-up matches between the end of May and the beginning of June, drawing 0-0 with North Macedonia and 1-1 with Panama.

In March, Bosnia and Herzegovina defeated Wales 4–2 on penalties after a 1–1 draw following extra time, before beating Italy 4–1 on penalties after another 1–1 draw following extra time to secure their place in the finals through two FIFA World Cup play-off victories.

The Dragons have drawn three of their last five fixtures, with two wins. They scored four goals and conceded four.

Bosnia and Herzegovina must find a way to start scoring freely to give themselves a chance of victory against Switzerland, but their opponents showed some decent form before the start of the World Cup.
