They began this term with a 0-0 draw at Polokwane City despite having 66% possession. A 1-1 draw vs Stellenbosch saw them outshot their opponents 18-4.

A 2-0 home loss to Mamelodi Sundowns saw 11 shots. In midweek, a 92nd-minute goal against robbed Magesi of a result that their performance warranted. 

Magesi coach John Maduka has been using Wonderboy Makhubu and Thabang Sibanyoni in a front two. 

Nkanyiso Zungu is set to play in midfield after his recent arrival. Attacking midfielders Curtley Napier and Reagan Van Der Ross are pushing for debuts.

This season started with a 3-2 loss in the MTN8 in extra time at Stellenbosch.They beat Orbit College 1-0 in their league opener.

A 2-0 defeat to Mamelodi Sundowns with 20% of the ball was followed by a 1-0 home win over Marumo Gallants with 2.69 xG. In midweek, they got a fortunate 1-1 draw away at Sekhukhune United as they allowed 21 shots.

Coach Arthur Zwane has a settled XI with lots of youngsters getting minutes. Riaan Hanamub is suspended at left back after a red card in midweek.

Goalkeeper Darren Johnson is doubtful with an injury. Youngster Thandolwenkosi Ngwenya will play up front after scoring vs Sekhukhune.
