Mamelodi Sundowns beat Richards Bay 4-1 in the Premier Soccer League on Tuesday. Below are the player ratings for the Sundowns starting XI and subs.

STARTING XI:

Ronwen Williams: 7

The captain made one fine save from a freekick, pushing the effort onto the bar and then catching the rebound. He could not be blamed for the Richards Bay goal as he parried the effort to the side.

Thabang Matuludi: 7

The powerful right back had another strong game. He fired off a couple of shots, defended strongly and was up and down the flank.

Malibongwe Khoza: 6

The goal came from the defender being beaten for pace. He committed some fouls in the physical battles and did not have his best game.

Khulumani Ndamane: 7

The centre back was steady and calm. He is growing more and more into the role.

Fawaaz Basadien: 9 - Man of the Match

The left back scored a goal, created two big chances and was generally brilliant. It was a fine response to being left out of the squad for the MTN 8 Final.

Teboho Mokoena: 7

The midfielder played within himself, but still managed to assist a goal with a fine pass. He kept the game ticking over, whilst conserving energy after his knee injury.

Marcelo Allende: 8

He ran the show all night, having 98 touches, six out of six accurate long passes and four ground duels won.

Siyanda Ndlovu: 7

The winger was very dangerous, whilst also keeping the game moving with two-touch play. He created four chances and had seven touches in the Richards Bay box.

Cassius Mailula: 6

The one player to have an off night. He was not involved in the game enough and did not carry his usual attacking threat.

Tashreeq Matthews: 8

A goal, an assist and some lovely dribbles were on show. He is hitting some top form now.

Iqraam Rayners: 7

The striker scored two goals, had nine shots overall and also missed two big chances. His attitude was excellent throughout.

SUBSTITUTES:

Thabo Cele: 6

He allowed Mokoena a breather in a quiet 30-minute outing.

Themba Zwane: 6

The veteran slowed the game down to protect the lead. These were some much-needed minutes.

Nuno Santos: 6

He came on as a right winger. The game was already over, so there were not many chances to impress.

Antonio Van Wyk: 5

He only had 11 touches in 30 minutes and looked a bit short of confidence.

Mothobi Mvala: 6

The centre back allowed Khoza to rest his legs for the final 11 minutes. Mvala completed all 20 of his passes and had no real defending to do.
