  • India lead the five-match T20I series 2-1 after winning the previous match by 14 runs.
  • West Indies won the second T20I but failed to repeat that performance in Indore.
  • Hyderabad is one of India’s highest-scoring T20 venues and should favour another aggressive batting contest.

India vs West Indies Predictions, 4th T20I

India hold the series advantage and arrive with the stronger overall form, but another flat batting surface gives West Indies enough firepower to keep the fourth T20I competitive.

  • India’s Abhishek Sharma has scored 409 runs in his last 10 matches (S/R 236.00).
  • India’s Ishan Kishan has accumulated 339 runs in his previous 10 matches (S/R 150.00).
  • India’s Arshdeep Singh has taken nine wickets in his last five matches.
  • West Indies’ Shai Hope has scored 367 runs in his last 10 T20 matches (ave 45.88).
  • West Indies’ Sherfane Rutherford has scored 321 runs in his last 10 matches (S/R 170.00).
  • West Indies’ Shamar Joseph has taken 19 wickets across his last 10 matches.

Head-to-Head

India lead the current five-match series 2-1. West Indies produced a record chase to win the second T20I, but India responded in Indore by defending 223 and recording a 14-run victory in the third match.

India Form

India bounced back from defeat in the second T20I with an impressive 14-run win in Indore. Abhishek Sharma set the tone with a blistering 69 from 30 deliveries, while Ishan Kishan added 37 runs from 18 balls as India powered to 223.

The bowling attack then produced a much better performance. Arshdeep Singh was the standout with three wickets while Naman Dhir claimed two victims, with Axar Patel and Nitish Kumar Reddy each picking up a wicket. India have won four of their last five completed T20Is and can clinch the series with victory in Hyderabad.

West Indies Form

West Indies showed their batting strength by winning the second T20I of the series after a record run chase, but they couldn't repeat that success in Indore. In the 3rd T20I Kamil Pooran scored 42, Shimron Hetmyer made 43 and Sherfane Rutherford contributed 32, being Shamar Springer blasted 35 from only 11 balls.

Their bowling remains the larger concern. Roston Chase, Shamar Joseph and Shamar Springer each took two wickets in the previous game but couldn't prevent India from setting them 224 to chase. Trailing 2-1 in the five-match series West Indies must win in Hyderabad to keep the series alive.

Team News

India may retain the extra-seamer combination that worked in Indore, while West Indies are waiting on Romario Shepherd after he missed the previous match following an injury in Ranchi.

India (possible XI): Abhishek Sharma, Sanju Samson, Ishan Kishan, Shreyas Iyer (c), Tilak Varma, Naman Dhir, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Axar Patel, Prince Yadav, Mayank Yadav, Arshdeep Singh.

West Indies (possible XI): Shai Hope (c), Kamil Pooran, Shimron Hetmyer, Rovman Powell, Sherfane Rutherford, Romario Shepherd/Quentin Sampson, Roston Chase, Shamar Springer, Keemo Paul, Shamar Joseph, Gudakesh Motie.

Pitch and Conditions

Hyderabad should provide another excellent batting surface, with good bounce, a quick outfield and an average first-innings score around 173. Recent matches at the venue have produced enormous totals, while dew could make life even tougher for bowlers.

Chasing has also been successful, with teams batting second winning 49 of the 90 matches played at the venue compared with 40 wins for sides batting first.

Verdict

India are tipped to win and seal the series, with Abhishek Sharma and Arshdeep Singh backed as leading performers for the hosts.

Shai Hope has been in incredible form with the bat while Shamar Joseph always gives himself a chance of picking up wickets with his attacking bowling.
