Atletico Madrid gained a huge 2-0 advantage against Barcelona in the UCL quarterfinal last week in Catalunya. Julian Alvarez broke the deadlock with a stunning free-kick goal just before break, while the final score was set by Alexander Sorloth in second half.

Diego Simeone’s side has been in disastrous form in La Liga recently though, currently on a three-game losing run.

After losing 3-2 to Real Madrid and Barcelona 2-1, their negative streak resumed last weekend with a 2-1 loss at Sevilla, posting just 0.84 xG and firing two shots on target.
