England have not conceded a goal in their four matches at the Euro's thus far. This solidness is backed to be enough against a Ukraine side with quality but lack the attacking prowess to stretch England.

Raheem Sterling has been England's go-to man and he is value to continue his goalscoring form at Euro 2020.

  • Ukraine have lost 2 of their last 4 matches (Euro 2020)
  • Ukraine have seen under 2.5 goals in their last 4 matches against England (all competitions)

Head to Head

England hold a 4-1 head to head record from seven previous clashes with Ukraine. The last two meetings have ended in draws during World Cup qualifying in 2012 and 2013.

Ukraine Form

Ukraine reached the quarter-finals of a tournament for the first time with a dramatic 2-1 victory over Sweden in extra-time on Tuesday.

Andriy Shevchenko’s opened the scoring through Oleksandr Zinchenko, only for Emil Forsberg to equalise.

With the game seemingly heading to penalties with 10-man Sweden hanging on following the dismissal of Marcus Danielson, substitute Artem Dovbyk headed home a 121st minute winner.

Ukraine had qualified for the knockout stages in third place in Group C. They lost 3-2 to Netherlands, won 2-1 against North Macedonia and scraped through despite a 1-0 loss to Austria.

Ukraine Injuries & Team News

Goalkeepers: Heorhiy Bushchan, Andriy Pyatov (Captain), Anatoliy Trubin
Defenders: Eduard Sobol, Serhiy Kryvtsov, Illya Zabarnyi, Vitaliy Mykolenko, Oleksandr Karavayev, Mykola Matviyenko, Oleksandr Tymchyk, Denys Popov
Midfielders: Heorhiy Sudakov, Serhiy Sydorchuk, Taras Stepanenko, Andriy Yarmolenko, Ruslan Malinovskyi, Mykola Shaparenko, Marlos, Yevhenii Makarenko, Viktor Tsyhankov, Oleksandr Zinchenko, Roman Bezus, Oleksandr Zubkov
Forwards: Roman Yaremchuk, Artem Besyedin, Artem Dovbyk

Artem Besedin is a major doubt after being on the receiving end of a horror tackle 10 minutes after coming on from the bench against Sweden.

Winger Oleksandr Zubkov missed the extra-time win over Sweden but will come back into the Ukraine side if fit.

Centre-back Denys Popov continues to struggle with a calf injury and is unlikely to feature.

Striker Artem Dovbyk could earn a start after his late winner against Sweden.

England Form

England booked their spot in the last eight with a 2-0 win over Germany at Wembley on Tuesday.

Goals from Raheem Sterling and captain Harry Kane inside the last 15 minutes saw Gareth Southgate's side win a first knockout tie against Germany in 55 years.

England topped Group D with seven points from a possible nine thanks to 1-0 wins over Croatia and Czech Republic and a 0-0 draw with Scotland.

England have now won nine of their last 10 matches in all competitions and conceded just one goal during this run.

England Injuries & Team News

Goalkeepers: Aaron Ramsdale, Sam Johnstone, Jordan Pickford

Midfielders: Jude Bellingham, Jordan Henderson, Mason Mount, Kalvin Phillips, Declan Rice

England boss Gareth Southgate could revert back to his 4-2-3-1 formation used in the first three games at Euro 2020, over the 5-3-2 employed in the win over Germany.

If he does, Kieren Trippier or Kyle Walker are likely to miss out.

Mason Mount will come under consideration for a recall to the starting line-up after his enforced isolation.

Jack Grealish's contribution to both goals against Germany could earn him a starting role.
