Head-to-Head

Guyana Amazon Warriors have won their last four matches against the Barbados Tridents.

Barbados Tridents Form

Barbados Tridents have recovered impressively after a difficult middle stretch of their Caribbean Premier League campaign. Four straight defeats threatened to derail their season, but three consecutive wins have restored confidence and secured their place in the playoffs.

Their victory over St Kitts and Nevis Patriots was built around a strong bowling display, with Chris Green taking 4/20 and Daniel Sams 2/21 as the Patriots were dismissed for 118. Barbados then overcame an early wobble in the chase, with Quinton de Kock anchoring the innings with an unbeaten 44.

De Kock has been their most reliable batter throughout the tournament, scoring 318 runs at an average of 45.42, while Zachary Carter has added 200. The bowling attack has also played a major role in their recovery, with Sams claiming 14 wickets and Gudakesh Motie 13. With momentum firmly restored, Barbados now face their toughest test against the competition leaders.

Guyana Amazon Warriors Form

Guyana Amazon Warriors have set the standard in the 2026 Caribbean Premier League, winning eight of their nine matches and securing top spot with a series of dominant performances. Their latest success came against Trinbago Knight Riders, who were restricted to 126/8 after Mehidy Hasan Miraz produced excellent figures of 4/23 and Shamar Joseph added 2/27.

Guyana then completed the chase with six wickets in hand, reaching 127/4 in 18.4 overs. Shai Hope once again provided control with an unbeaten 42 from 35 balls, while Shimron Hetmyer contributed 28.

Hope has been outstanding across the tournament, leading Guyana’s batting with 276 runs at an average of 69.00. Hetmyer has also been highly effective, striking 263 runs at 43.83 and a remarkable strike rate of 193.38. Mohammad Nabi and Imran Tahir have taken 13 wickets apiece, giving Guyana a formidable and well-balanced attack.
