Levante vs Barcelona

Levante are looking solid with just one defeat in their first four matches in La Liga. They went down 3-0 away to Espanyol in their opener and that was followed by two goalless draws, separated by a 5-2 home win over Betis.

Barcelona have beaten Betis in their last four matches, scoring three goals in each match. They’ve won their last five competitive matches, with three clean sheets and racking up five goals in four of those matches. Their other win was 2-0 at home to Athletic Madrid.

I’d back Levante to be beaten to nil but after bagging five at home I think they might net once or twice, but Barca should score plenty, so I’m backing four goals or more between the sides.

Getafe vs Dep. A Coruna

Getafe’s home record is good, winning four on the bounce before a 1-1 draw with Celta Vigo. Dep. A Coruna are equally good on the road, being unbeaten in 10 with five wins and five clean sheets.

Recent form points towards Dep. A Coruna, with two draws followed by two wins ahead of Sunday’s clash, while Getafe come into the match on the back of two losses and a draw.

Real Sociedad vs Atl. Madrid

Real Sociedad kicked off the season with back-to-back defeats followed by a W-D-W run. They’ve let in eight goals in five matches, scoring just six, so they shouldn’t be a huge threat to Atletico Madrid.

Atletico Madrid were on a run of W-W-D-W before going down 3-0 to Athletic Club away from home in the league and 2-1 away to Liverpool in the Champions League. They are a quality side but Sociedad’s strong home form makes me lean towards a score draw.

Villarreal vs Betis

After a five-match unbeaten run in pre-season Villareal started the league with a pair of 2-2 draws before hitting three defeats in a row. Those defeats were each by just one goal, and with eight wins in their last 10 matches I’m backing them to bounce back from their triple defeats to claim the win.

Betis are on a stormer, winning four of their first five competitive matches. They went down 5-2 on the road to Levante and have lost three of their last six matches on the road, so I’m backing Villareal’s quality to surface in time to take all three points.

I’m backing goals between Levante and Barcelona, wins for Dep. A Coruna and Villarreal and a draw between Real Sociedad and Atl. Madrid.
