English Championship Predictions - 7 November 2026, Round 15

Editor
Last updated: 2 hours ago

West Brom take on Millwall in the Championship, with under 2.5 match goals tipped as the main selection. West Brom are unbeaten in their last five matches, collecting 11 points and scoring 10 goals, while Millwall have struggled, winning only twice in their last ten games and scoring one goal or fewer in six of those. Previous meetings between these sides have been low-scoring, with four draws and just seven goals in the last five encounters. West Brom's form gives them the edge, but a tight, low-scoring match is expected.

  • Norwich to cash in against leaky Bristol defence.
  • Plenty of goals between in-form Portsmouth and Stoke.
  • Watford’s struggles to continue against Middlesbrough.
  • West Brom to keep the pressure on struggling Millwall.

English Championship Predictions - Round 15

Bristol vs Norwich

This is a tough nut to crack because both sides have been inconsistent but both have also been racking up the goals. Bristol City have slipped into the bottom half after a poor recent run, while Norwich have shown signs of recovery after a rough patch and have won three of their last five... but their defence is still vulnerable.

Norwich’s scoring record is solid with 27 goals in the bank while Bristol are on a modest 16 strikes. The visitors have a clear attacking edge but their defence has also been generous to their opponents so Bristol should deny them a clean sheet. The safer angle could be goals rather than a straight result, but I’d tack on three match goals or more for a tempting payout.

Portsmouth vs Stoke

Portsmouth have had a solid start to the season and sit in the top half of the table but Stoke have the better overall record and are just two points off top spot.

Portsmouth have been difficult to beat and are unbeaten in 10 of their 14 matches, but Stoke’s season-long numbers are stronger and they have shown more consistency near the top end of the table. Expect a competitive game with plenty of chances at both ends.

Watford vs Middlesbrough

Watford have struggled badly for consistency and their goal difference of minus-10 tells its own story. Middlesbrough are right near the top of the table with 30 goals in 14 games and look to be one of the strongest attacking sides in the Championship.

Boro were unbeaten in nine matches before losing 2-0 away to Wrexham in their last match. Their strong form this season suggests that they will bounce back strong against 20th-placed Watford who have lost more than half of their matches this season.

West Brom vs Millwall

West Brom are unbeaten in their last five matches, picking up 11 points with 10 goals to six. The last five matches between the two sixes have brought four draws, a 3-0 win for Millwall and a total of just seven goals between the two sides. West Brom have the form for the win but what looks stronger is backing under 2.5 goals in the match.

Millwall have picked up just two wins from their last 10 matches and have netted one goal or less six times in that stretch. With three defeats in their last five matches they look primed for another loss.

Verdict

I’m backing wins for Middlesbrough and West Brom as well as backing both teams to score in the matches between Bristol and Norwich City as well as Portsmouth and Stoke City.
