Samoa are tipped to cover the handicap against Zimbabwe in the World Rugby Nations Cup. Samoa have shown stronger recent form, winning three of their last six matches and scoring 115 points in three Nations Cup games. Zimbabwe, meanwhile, have lost four consecutive matches and conceded 90 points in three Nations Cup fixtures. This will be the first competitive meeting between the two teams, and Samoa's recent performances suggest they have the advantage going into this fixture.

Zimbabwe vs Samoa Predictions

Zimbabwe have struggled in the 2026 World Rugby Nations Cup, losing all their fixtures. Samoa have been in decent nick in the competition and in recent outings.

  • Samoa have won 3 of their last 6 fixtures.
  • Samoa have scored 115 in 3 Nations Cup games.
  • Zimbabwe have lost 4 consecutive matches.
  • Zimbabwe have conceded 90 points in 3 Nations Cup fixtures.

Head to Head

Zimbabwe and Samoa will meet for the first time in a competitive match.

Zimbabwe Form

Zimbabwe have yet to have success in this edition of the World Rugby Nations Cup. They lost 36-26 to Tonga, 31-15 to the USA, and fell short against Canada 23-19.

The Sables are last in the European-African-Asian Pool with two points after three rounds.

In June, Zimbawe had no answer against South Africa A in a friendly match, losing 40-0.

Zimbabwe have not made the ideal start to the competition and have a tricky test against Samoa, as their opponents have had some success recently, winning three of their last six matches.

Samoa Form

Samoa started the World Rugby Nations Cup in July with an emphatic 66-19 victory over Hong Kong China before losing 33-12 to Georgia and 38-37 to Romania.

Manu Samoa are third in the Americas-Pacific Pool with seven points from three matches.

Before that, Samoa thrashed Brazil 48-10 and beat Namibia 26-8 before drawing with Belgium in the final match in November last year to qualify for the 2027 Rugby World Cup.

Samoa have an opportunity to pick up some valuable points when they take on Zimbabwe, as their opponents have been struggling lately, having lost four consecutive fixtures.
