Leeds vs Spurs

Spurs are running hot after nailing three wins in a row while Leeds haven’t won in five matches and have just one win in nine matches. The two sides drew their last meeting but Spurs won the previous three matches, so the lights are flashing for a Spurs win.

Leeds have been goalless in three of their last five matches, scoring just twice although conceding just five goals. Spurs have kept clean sheets in their last two matches and have conceded just two in four matches. A Spurs win to nil is a great bet but I’m happy to go with the lower risk of just a win.

Arsenal vs Hull

Hull are sitting mid-table despite no wins in eight matches, although they have lost just three of those matches, so they are tough to break down. Arsenal have six wins in eight, with their one loss coming with a weakened side in the League Cup.

Hull’s three recent defeats have all been by a single goal, although they do have a habit of picking up at least one win a match. Arsenal should take the win but Hull’s defence could easily eke out a draw. The better bet is under 2.5 match goals, which carries a decent payout.

Fulham vs Newcastle

Both sides are flirting with the drop zone and will be desperate to secure an effective six-pointer in the relegation stakes. Newcastle have four defeats in five coming into this clash as well as three defeats in four on the road, so only an optimist would back them for an away win.

It also looks like a low-scorer, with both sides just netting four goals in their last five matches, so I’m backing a home win with no more than two goals.

Notts Forest vs Man City

Four wins and a draw in their last five is not the form to inspire confidence against Man City’s strike force. They have scored three goals in that five-match stretch and with City’s frequent lapses at the back I wouldn’t include a win to nil in any City match.

City have netted 31 times in their last five matches, and Haaland has scored so regularly that I’m going to back a City win with a Haaland goal and City to score in both halves.

Verdict

I’m backing a win for Spurs, a low-scorer in the matchs between Arsenal and Hull as well as Fulham and Newcastle. Finally, it should be a goal fest as Notts Forest hunker up against Man City.
