Last season, the Lahore Qalanders topped the table with seven wins in 10 matches. They then went on to beat the Multan Sultans in a cracking final by one run.

The Qalanders side is littered with international quality as well as local. Focal to their chances will be Fakhar Zaman, while the likes of Shai Hope will offer top order stability. South African, Rassie van der Dussen is also in the squad, as is Rashid Khan.

Islamabad United Form

Islamabad United had a decent season last time out, finishing third on the table. They won six and lost four of their 10 games.

Concerning for them, however, will be their heavy defeats home and away to the Lahore Qalanders. Islamabad United are two-time PSL champions, but those victories came back in 2016 and 2018.

United have a decent squad once again this season. New Zealander, Colin Munro will hope for another strong season with the bat while Tom Curran and Alex Hales represent the English. Pakistan international, Shadab Khan will prove a key player for United.
