Their last match saw the Knight Riders bowlers have the Orcas in deep trouble at 72/6, but they recovered to reach 154/7 off their 20 overs. Shadley van Schalkwyk (2/40), Fabian Allen (2/18) and Sunil Narine (2/17) all put in a good shift with the ball. 

Colin Munro (33 off 36) and Andre Fletcher (23 off 13) again got the Knight Riders off to a good start, adding 42 for the first wicket before another batting collapse left them reeling at 92/6. Jason Holder (21 off 20) and Matthew Tromp (17 off 12) kept the chase alive but they ended 20 runs short with just two wickets to spare.

Washington Freedom Form


The Freedom have won two and lost two of their last four matches, but went down to the San Francisco Unicorns by eight wickets with 29 balls in hand in their last match.

Mitchell Owen was again in the runs, scoring 39 off 20 balls against the Unicorns, but it as Andries Gous who top-scored with 83* off 50 balls, hitting 11 boundaries. Nikhil Chaudhary hit two sixes and two fours in his 19-ball score of 32.

The Freedom bowlers again struggled to knock over their opposition, with only Marco Jansen (1/40) and Nikhil Chaudhary (1/29) picking up a wicket as the Unicorns raced to the win with eight wickets and 29 balls to spare.
