Australia have won their last 13 matches on the bounce and are as unbeatable a side as can be imagined. It takes a brilliant performance to beat them, but judging by Sri Lanka’s opening loss to Pakistan in this World Cup, it will take a far stronger side that Sri Lanka to beat Australia. I’m expecting a big win for Australia as they power their way to the final.

Sri Lanka bowled brilliantly to dismiss Pakistan for 116 off the last ball of their 20 overs. Udeshika Prabodhani, Sugandika Kumari and Chamari Athapaththu each picked up three wickets at five runs or less to the over.

Sri Lanka bungled their chase, collapsing to 52/5 before Nilakshika Silva (22) lifted their score into the 80s. It was not enough to prevent a 31-run loss as Sri Lanka crawled to 85/9 off their 20 overs.
