Bangladesh vs England Women Predictions

Bangladesh enjoyed a solid win over Scotland in their opening match of this World Cup, but England will be a much tougher prospect. England lost their last competitive match against Ireland, but they had won their previous four matches on the bounce.

England Women’s Danni Wyatt has scored 2828 runs in her WT20I career.
England Women’s Nat Sciver-Brunt has scored 60*, 34 & 31 in her last 5 innings.
Bangladesh Women’s Nigar Sultana has scored 62*, 32 & 30 in her last 5 innings.
Bangladesh Women’s Sobhana Mostary top-scored with 36 off 38 balls in their World Cup opener against Scotland

Head-to-Head

The two teams have only met three times, between 2014 and 2018, with England claiming victory in all three WT20Is.

Bangladesh Women Form

Bangladesh made it three wins from four balls when they beat Scotland by 16 runs in their World Cup opener.

Bangladesh were restricted to 119/7 off their 20 overs, Sobhana Mostary scoring

36 to give them a total to defend.

Scotland started well before Ritu Moni (2/15, econ 3.75) knocked over two key middle-order batters to upset their chase. Scotland could only manage 103/7 off their 20 overs.

Bangladesh Women Team News

Bangladesh will need to play the game of their life to have a chance of beating England.

England Women Form

After a run of four wins on the bounce, England lost to Ireland by five wickets with one ball in hand.

Tammy Beaumont top-scored with 40 off 34 balls and Paige Scholfield weighed in with 34 off 21 balls as England posted a competitive score of 169/8 off their 20 overs.

Ireland produced a perfect chase, reaching their target with five wickets and one ball in hand. Kate Cross returned figures of 2/29, picking up two crucial wickets.

England Women Team News

England Women are in good form and are unlikely to make any changes to their team.

Verdict

Bangladesh Women v England Women - T20

I am backing England Women to win. I am also backing Danni Wyatt to top score for England Women.

Nigar Sultana is a good bet to top score for the Bangladesh Women.
