India vs Pakistan Women Predictions

India are favourites to win because of the strength of their side, but they have suffered a dip in form at the worst possible time. Pakistan bowled magnificently to defend a small target in their opener against Sri Lanka, but they are unlikely to have the firepower to match India.

India Women’s Jemimah Rodrigues has scored 2087 runs at 30.24 in WT20I cricket.
India Women’s Harmanpreet Kaur has scored 3441 runs at 27.97 in WT20I cricket.
Pakistan Women’s Fatima Sana has scored 37*, 27, 20* & 30 in her last 5 innings.
Pakistan Women’s Muneeba Ali has scored 45, 33 & 27 in her last 5 innings.

Head-to-Head

India have won four of their last five WT20Is against Pakistan, including the last two in a row. Pakistan have won just one of those five matches.

India Women Form

After losing the Women’s Asia Cup final to Sri Lanka, India made it two losses on the bounce when they lost their World Cup opener to New Zealand.

New Zealand posted a competitive 160/4 off their 20 overs, with Renuka Singh (2/27) the best of the Indian bowlers.

India collapsed to 55/4 and couldn’t recover, and were bowled out for 102 off 19 overs. Harmanpreet Kaur’s 15 off 14 balls was the top score for India.

India Women Team News

India need to rebound from their mini-slump, because their current form makes them vulnerable to losing to Pakistan, provided the Pakistan batters raise their own game.

Pakistan Women Form

Pakistan made it two wins form three when they beat Sri Lanka in their World Cup opener.

Fatima Sana (30 off 20 balls) scored a disappointing 116 all out off their 20 overs.

The Pakistan bowlers were magnificent, restricting Sri Lanka to 85/9 off their 20 overs. Sadia Iqbal (3/17, econ 4.25) was the best of the Pakistan bowlers, but they all bowled magnificently as a unit.

Pakistan Women Team News

Pakistan Women are in good form and are unlikely to make any changes to their team.

Verdict

India Women v Pakistan Women - T20

I am backing India Women to win. I am also backing Jemimah Rodrigues to top score for India Women.

Fatima Sana is a good bet to top score for the Pakistan Women.
