Pakistan have won their last two T20Is against Bangladesh.
Bangladesh have yet to play in the Asian Games after a washout against Malaysia.
The pitch in Nisshin has been playing slow, offering grip for the spinners.

Pakistan begin their Asian Games campaign in encouraging form and will be eager to make an early impact in their push for a medal. Bangladesh lost 3-0 to Australia in a recent T20I series but bounced back by beating Zimbabwe 2-1.

Pakistan’s Sahibzada Farhan has scored 74, 24, 102 & 19 in his last 8 matches.
Pakistan’s Saim Ayub has scores of 24*, 23 & 29 in his last 3 T20 innings.
Pakistan’s Abrar Ahmed has taken 52 wickets in 37 T20I innings.
Bangladesh’s Tanzid Hasan has made 58, 66* and 102 across his last 8 knocks.
Bangladesh’s Litton Das has scored 21 and 58* in his last 2 white-ball innings.
Bangladesh’s Shoriful Islam claimed 4/44 in his last ODI against Zimbabwe.

Head-to-Head

Pakistan have won three and lost two of their last five T20Is against Bangladesh.

Pakistan Form

Pakistan have named a youthful squad for the Asian Games, with several senior internationals omitted and Sahibzada Farhan appointed captain. The group features players with strong franchise-cricket records, along with enough experience to remain genuine medal contenders.

Farhan is the leading batting threat after scoring 388 runs in his last nine T20Is at a strike rate of 158. Saim Ayub provides another aggressive option, contributing 189 runs across his previous nine appearances.

Pakistan also boast plenty of bowling variety. Abrar Ahmed has taken 12 wickets in his last seven matches and could be especially effective in Japanese conditions, while Ayub offers an additional option after claiming eight wickets in his previous seven outings.

Bangladesh Form

Bangladesh head into the semi-final as the higher--ranked side after a washout against Malaysia in their quarter-final clash. Captain and wicketkeeper Litton Das fronts a batting unit featuring Tanzid Hasan, Najmul Hossain Shanto, Towhid Hridoy and Parvez Hossain Emon, while Yasir Ali strengthens the lower order.

The squad also benefits from several all-round options in Saif Hassan, Mahedi Hasan, Mosaddek Hossain and Nasum Ahmed. Shoriful Islam, Mustafizur Rahman and Hasan Mahmud form a strong pace attack, with Rishad Hossain offering the primary spin threat.

Team News

Both teams come into the match cold after rain ruined their quarter-final clashes so they are likely to stick with their existing line-ups.

Pakistan (possible XI): Nizakat Khan, Anshy Rath, Babar Hayat, Hafeez Khan, Shiv Mathur, Shahid Wasif, Yasim Murtazar (c), Nasrulla Rana, Ehsan Khan, Ayush Shukla, Mohammad Ghazanfar.

Bangladesh (possible XI): Tanzid Hasan, Parvez Hossain Emon, Litton Das (ck), Towhid Hridoy, Yasir Ali, Najmul Hossain Shanto, Mahedi Hasan, Nasum Ahmed, Rishad Hossain, Mustafizur Rahman, Shoriful Islam.

Verdict

Pakistan v Bangladesh

Pakistan are best placed to take the win with Sahibzada Farhan and Abrar Ahmed backed to perform for their side. Tanzid Hasan and Shoriful Islam are my picks to star for Bangladesh.
