After winning the first match of the series, the West Indies lost the subsequent two. That made the 4th T20 against South Africa a must-win match to stay in the series.
For the first time the West Indies batted first in the series and Lendl Simmons got them off to a flying start, scoring 47 off 34 balls. A middle order collapse however saw the hosts struggling on 89-5 after 14 overs.
Up stepped captain Kieron Pollard to smash 51 off 25 balls to take the Windies to a respectable 167 in 20 overs. Dwayne Bravo then produced a superb spell of bowling, taking 4-19 to restrict South Africa to 146 runs in 20 overs. The West Indies won by 21 runs.

South Africa Form
South Africa would have been confident of landing a series win after taking victory in the 2nd and 3rd T20 matches. They looked on course as Tabraiz Shamsi took 2-13 in four overs to put the hosts in early trouble.
Unfortunately the other bowlers couldn’t back it up as the West Indies fought their way to 167 runs. Quinton de Kock scored 60 runs in reply but the next highest was 20 runs as the visitors’ batsmen failed once again.
That will be a concern heading into the 5th and final match which will decide the series winners.
South Africa Team News
Reeza Hendricks time at the top of the order has surely run out. We could see Aiden Markram move to the opening batsman slot with Heinrich Klaasen coming in. There is also likely to be a change for the out of form David Miller.
