Stormers vs Sharks Predictions

The Stormers had no answer in their previous Currie Cup match and have struggled to beat the Sharks in recent seasons. The Sharks lost their first game of the season last weekend but beat the Stormers away from home the last time the two teams met in Cape Town.

  • Sharks have won 3 of their last 4 matches against the Stormers (Currie Cup).
  • Sharks beat the Stormers by 8 points away from home in 2024.
  • Stormers have lost 3 of their last 5 matches (Currie Cup).

Head to Head

The Sharks XV have a slight edge over the Stormers XXIII, with 16 victories to 15 in 31 meetings in the Carling Currie Cup since 2010.

Stormers Form

The Stormers XXIII were outplayed in their Cape derby match against Boland last weekend, losing 40-3 away after trailing 13-3 at half-time.

Before that, the Stormers began their Currie Cup campaign with a solid 25-19 home victory over the defending champions, the Griquas.

Stormers XXIII are sixth in the Currie Cup table with four points from two matches.

The Stormers produced a poor performance in their previous fixture and face a tricky test against the Sharks, as they have lost to their opponents in three of their last four meetings in the Currie Cup.

Sharks Form

The Hollywoodbets Sharks were in contention to beat the Toyota Cheetahs last weekend but faded during the final 20 minutes to lose 43-21 away from home.

Before that performance, the team from Durban started their Carling Currie Cup campaign with a narrow victory over the Pumas, securing a 26-24 win away from home.

The Hollywoodbets Sharks are fifth in the Currie Cup standings with five points after two rounds.

The Sharks will be aiming to produce an 80-minute performance in this match and will have the belief that they can get the result in Cape Town, having defeated the Stormers 31-23 away from home in 2024.
