Gor Mahia are poised to secure a comfortable win over CF GR/SIAF in their upcoming Kagame Cup clash. Despite a narrow defeat to Vipers in their last outing, Gor Mahia's recent form remains strong, boasting seven unbeaten matches out of the last nine. In contrast, CF GR/SIAF have struggled, losing both of their group matches and suffering multiple heavy defeats recently. Expected lineups suggest Gor Mahia may introduce fresh faces, aiming for another commanding performance. The recommendation is for Gor Mahia to win to nil.

Gor Mahia vs CF GR/SIAF Predictions

Gor Mahia suffered a defeat in their last game but remain a very stable side. They should be able to bounce back against a CF GR/SAIF team that has struggled to make an impact.

  • Gor Mahia are unbeaten in seven of their last nine matches in all competitions.
  • Gor Mahia earned a 5-0 victory over APR in their opening fixture.
  • CF GR/SIAF have failed to win five of their last six matches in all competitions.
  • CF GR/SIAF have lost by two or more goals in five of their last six matches in all competitions.

Gor Mahia Form

Gor Mahia come into this clash off the back of a 1-0 defeat to Vipers in their previous fixture. They matched the Tanzanians throughout the contest but went on to concede an injury-time winner.

While it was a disappointing way to lose a match, Gor Mahia are not down and out yet. Having begun their campaign with a 5-0 victory over APR, a win on Thursday will guarantee a place in the knockout stage.

Beyond the defeat to Vipers, Gor Mahia’s overall form has been solid lately. The Kenyans are unbeaten in seven of their last nine matches in all competitions, with a 3-1 defeat to Muranga among their results.

CF GR/SIAF Form

CF GR/SIAF are also coming off a defeat, falling 3-1 to APR in their previous fixture. They failed to recover after conceding three goals in the first half and could only manage a late consolation from Maarouf Abaneh.

It has been a poor tournament for CF GR/SIAF, who have now lost their two matches in Group A. They had begun their campaign with a 3-0 defeat to Vipers.

CF GR/SIAF’s struggles go beyond the Kagame Cup as they are without a win in five of their last six matches in all competitions. They have also suffered a few one-sided defeats in this run, losing by two or more goals in four of those six fixtures.

Predicted Lineups

Gor Mahia (4-3-3): Humphrey Katasi; Paul Ochuoga, Mike Kibwage, Frank Odhiambo, Bryton Onyona; Lawrence Juma, Alpha Onyango, George Amono, Hansel Ochieng, Ben Stanley, Patrick Essombe.

Gor Mahia are likely to make a few changes, with Onyango likely to return after starting from the bench last time out. Essombe could also be back in the team having found the net in the opening fixture.

CF GR/SIAF (4-3-3): Kofi Mensah; Ismail Nahiamana, Richard Mensah, Manuel Danniel, Souley Badamassi; Abdul Basit, Abdi Abdilahi, Tamou Nanti; Mensah Boating, Kamwa Fofou, Patrick Sibomana.

Mensah and Nahiamana are expected to continue their central defensive partnership for CF GR/SIAF. Abdul Basit is expected to line up in midfield while Sibomana should feature in attack.

Verdict

CF GR/SIAF have proved to be out of their depth at the Kagame Cup as they struggle to cope with the quality of their opponents.

Meanwhile, Gor Mahia are looking to bounce back from a defeat, and given their one-sided outing in their opening fixture, another comfortable victory is expected here.
