Singida Black Stars vs Simba Predictions - Simba to win their final Kagame Cup fixture

Simba are set to face the Singida Black Stars in a pivotal CECAFA Kagame Cup clash. With Simba unbeaten in their last 10 matches and boasting a strong record against the Black Stars, they are favorites to win and keep their qualification hopes alive. The Black Stars bounced back in their previous match but remain inconsistent. Both teams will likely field strong lineups. The key recommendation is a Simba win, given their form and past dominance in this fixture.

Singida Black Stars vs Simba Predictions

Simba need to win to keep their hopes alive of getting out of the group. Given their dominance in this fixture, I see Simba taking the three points.

  • Simba are unbeaten in their last 10 matches in all competitions.
  • Simba are unbeaten in 10 of their last 11 matches against Singida Black Stars.
  • Singida Black Stars have lost three of their last four matches in all competitions.

Head to Head

Simba have an excellent record in this fixture having lost just once in their last 11 games against Black Stars.

Singida Black Stars Form

Singida Black Stars are coming off a 4-1 victory over Mogadishu City in their previous fixture. They fought back from a goal down, with David Henry and Mathew Tegisi both netting a brace.

It was a vital return to winning ways for Singida Black Stars, who have looked a bit out of sorts lately. They had lost their previous three matches in all competitions, including a 2-0 defeat to Jamus in their opening fixture.

The result also keeps them alive in the group and puts them back in the mix to progress. They need a win in Friday's clash to stand a chance to qualify either as group winners or the overall best second-place team.

Simba Form

Simba head into this clash off the back of a 0-0 draw with Jamus in their previous fixture. That was the second stalemate for the Red Lions, who played out a similar result with Mogadishu City in their opening fixture.

While a win remains elusive, Simba will be encouraged by the fact that they are yet to be beaten. The six-time Kagame Cup winners have two points in the table and can win the group if results go their way on Friday.

The good news for Simba is that their overall form has been solid this year. They are unbeaten in their last 10 matches in all competitions, picking up eight wins in this run.

Black Stars vs Simba News and Predicted Lineups

Singida Black Stars (4-4-2): Yona Amosi; Miraj Abdalla, Omar Omar, Hemed Abdalla, Ibrahim Nindi; Ahmed Pipino, Henry David, Sheikhan Khamis, James Mwashinga; Sagesse Nzaou, Mathew Tegisi.

Singida Black Stars are likely to stick with the team that beat Mogadishu City. Tegisi and David should feature after getting the goals last time out, while Mwashinga is expected to line up in midfield.

Simba (4-3-3): Hussein Abel; Anthony Milgo, Paul Masinde, Shomari Kapombe, David Kameta; Mothusi Cooper, Hussein Semfuko, Inno Loemba; Claotus Chama, Morice Abraham, Ancient Oura.

Masinde is expected to feature in defence for Simba alongside Kapombe. Cooper should line up in midfield while Morice Abraham should get the nod in attack.

Verdict

Simba remain unbeaten in the competition, and given their solid record against their domestic rivals, they should claim the upper hand here.
