Northampton vs Bulls Predictions

Northampton have looked good at home this season, winning three of their last four home matches. Bulls in contrast, have been struggling on the road, having lost three of their last four away. My best bet is for Northampton to cover the -15.5 handicap at home.

Northampton have won both of their previous encounters against the Bulls.

Northampton Form

The Saints have been in decent form this season, winning three of their last four matches at home. However, in their last home match, they lost 14-31 to Newcastle in a Premiership Rugby Cup Group stage match.

Northampton went into the game hoping to continue their home win run, but came up against a strong Newcastle side, losing the game 14-31. Prior to this defeat, Northampton won three in a row at home.

Those victories came by six points against Leicester, 12 points against Saracens, and nine points against Harlequins.

Northampton Injuries & Team News

Wing Ollie Sleightholme is back in training after an ankle injury. Edoardo Todaro will serve the second game of his two-week ban this weekend, while James Ramm will miss the next two matches due to a ban of his own.

Bulls Form

Bulls have made a slow start to the season, losing three of their first four matches. They are a long way off their best form.

In their opening Champions Cup game last weekend, Bulls lost 33-46 at home to Bordeaux Begles.

Bulls have come into this match off a mixed run away from home: losses to Leinster by 25 points and Ulster by 21 points, a 1-point win at Connacht, and then a 12-21 defeat at Glasow Warriors in their last match.

Bulls Injuries & Team News

Centre Jan Serfontein and speedster Cheswill Jooste are ruled out with shoulder injuries. Prop Francois Klopper has also been ruled out with an infected toenail.

Bulls have made wholesale changes to their squad with some of the experienced players making way for fresh combinations and rising talent.

Verdict

Northampton v Bulls

Northampton are backed to dominate an out of sorts Bulls side, covering the -15.5 handicap.
