Edinburgh have been in decent nick at home in the URC this season. They defeated Benetton 43-0, the Ospreys 19-17, lost 21-3 to the Glasgow Warriors and 19-17 to the Bulls, and beat the Scarlets 24-19 before losing 40-19 to Ulster.

Edinburgh are 13th in the United Rugby Championship table with 23 points from 14 games. 

Edinburgh have been in solid form at home, winning six of their last nine matches, and will be out to turn the tables against Zebre, as their opponents have been in poor form away from home this season. 

Zebre Form


Zebre fell short in the EPCR Challenge Cup quarter-final match against the Dragons last weekend, losing 35-32 at home after the score was 17-17 at half-time.

Zebre have had no success away from home in the URC this season. They lost 24-0 to the Ospreys, 50-26 to Leinster, 21-5 to Benetton, 47-10 to the Glasgow Warriors, 21-7 to Munster, and 36-17 to the Scarlets. 

Zebre are last in the United Rugby Championship standings with 12 points from 14 matches.

Zebre have failed to win away from home in the league this season and have struggled away to Edinburgh in recent outings, losing six of their last seven visits.

Forwards coach Stevie Lawrie highlighted that his team wishes to perform well for the remainder of the season: “Everyone says we’ve got nothing to play for.

“No – we’ve got everything to play for. Because guess what? You’ve got people that have paid their money, paid their season tickets.

"They want to do well.”

Edinburgh have hired Brad Davis (Queensland Reds) as defence coach and Tim Sampson (Fijian Drua) as attack coach for the 2026/27 season.

Zebre

Italy international winger Simone Gesi is set to return to action this weekend after serving a two-match ban for eye-gouging in the match against Ulster.
