A 95th-minute goal sealed a 1-0 win at Smouha to secure the league title. Al Ahly finished the league season by beating ZED 2-1, drawing 1-1 at ENPPI and losing 2-1 at home to Modern Future.

They were beaten 2-0 at home by Pharco in the Egyptian Cup round of 16. They have since won 3-0 both home and away in the CAF Champions League vs Gor Mahia.

South African winger Percy Tau has shaken off an eye injury and will be available to start.
