England vs Senegal Predictions
This should be a very good test for England against an in-form Senegal side. Tuchel’s side are struggling to score goals, but do not concede often. I am backing a narrow home win.

- England Form
- Senegal Form
- England have won their last 6 matches.
- England have won their last 5 matches to nil.
- Senegal are unbeaten in their last 23 matches.
- Senegal have drawn their last 2 away matches.
Head to Head
These two have only met once before at the 2022 FIFA World Cup. England won that game 3-0 thanks to Jordan Henderson, Harry Kane and Saka.
England Form
England are in great form on the face of it with six straight wins since losing to Greece in the Nations League back on 10 October 2024.
In those six games they have only conceded one goal which came against Finland, the first game of that run. So, that means five successive clean sheets for Tomas Tuchel’s side.
In 2024, England beat Albania 2-0 and Lavia 3-0, both at home in World Cup qualifiers. On Saturday, England defeated Andorra 1-0 away but were booed off the field at half time.
Harry Kane scored the winning goal in the 50th minute but the performance was poor overall. Tuchel may be getting plenty of clean sheets out of his side, but they are sacrificing plenty going forward.
Senegal Form
Senegal are no slouches on the pitch and are on a 23-match unbeaten run. Their last defeat came against Algeria back in September 2023.
They were knocked out in the 2024 AFCON in the second round but that came on penalties after a 1-1 draw against Ivory Coast.
Recent results have included a few draws against Sudan and Liberia, both away from home. However, they beat Liberia 3-0 at home in the second leg, beat Togo 2-0 at home and drew on Friday 1-1 against Ireland.
After going down in the 21st minute against Ireland, Senegal had the better of proceedings with 12 shots to eight and 58% possession. Senegal drew level through Ismaila Sarr in the 82nd minute.
Verdict
England are backed to sneak a narrow 1-0 win.
