Werder Bremen vs RB Leipzig

RB Leipzig haven’t lost against Werder Bremen in their last 10 meetings and the start of the season suggests the trend should continue. Werder Bremen have just one win in four matches and lost their opener to Freiburg 4-1.

RB Leipzig have won their last two matches 6-0 and 3-0 and should be far too powerful for their hosts.

Paderborn vs Freiburg

Newly promoted Paderborn are undefeated in their last nine matches, but that includes some of their 2.Bundesliga matches. A 0-0 away draw to mid-table Mainz was a decent start but they are unlikely to trouble Freiburg, who finished 7th last season.

Freiburg have won their last seven matches on the bounce and have been pounding the back of the net, knocking in 19 goals in their last five matches, so I can see Paderborn being in for a hammering.

Hoffenheim vs Dortmund

Hoffenheim went down 3-2 to Koln in their Bundesliga opener after a 4-0 win over Aue in the German Cup. Dortmund are the biggest challengers for multiple defending champs Bayern Munich and they should prove too strong for Hoffenheim.

Dortmund lost 2-1 to Bayern Munich in their first competitive match of the season but followed that up with a 2-0 win over Hamburger SV in their Bundesliga opener before thrashing HEBC Hamburg 5-0 in the Cup. I’m backing a big win for Dortmund.

Schalke vs Bayern Munich

Schalke will have little hope to draw any points out of this clash with the defending champs. Schalke have lost three of their last four matches, the other match seeing them beat Regionalliga Nordost side Hallescher 5-2 after extra time in the Cup.

Schalke haven’t scored against Bayern in their last seven matches, with the German giants scoring 29 goals in those seven matches. Bayern have won their last eight matches, winning their last three 2-1, 5-1 and 4-1. Hold your hats for plenty of goals.

Werder Bremen to lose to RB Leipzig yet again, while Freiburg to score plenty against Paderborn.

Hoffenheim to go down to Dortmund, Schalke to be hit for plenty of goals by Bayern Munich.
