AmaZulu are favourites heading into this PSL opener against the newly promoted Orbit College. However, the Durban-based side has been scoring and conceding plenty in recent friendlies and last week’s cup game. I am backing the visitors to get a point.

In their last five games of the PSL season, AmaZulu could only manage one win, two draws and two defeats. They will be looking to get off to a positive start at home and hopefully make a top eight challenge this season.

Last week, AmaZulu lost their MTN8 Cup match 3-2 against Stellenbosch FC. 

Coach Arthur Zwane has seen a number of experienced players depart the club.

Orbit College makes their first-ever appearance in the PSL this season. They finished second in the NFD last season and came through a tough playoff challenge to get promoted.

Orbit College began the playoffs with successive 0-0 draws against Casric Stars and Cape Town City before managing a 1-0 win in their second game against Casric Stars.

They won their final game which secured promotion 1-0 against Cape Town City.

Orbit College have pulled off a big move to sign Orlando Pirates winger Monnapule Saleng on loan.
