Mamelodi Sundowns Transfer News - Two Big European Exits, Three Signings to Arrive?
Mamelodi Sundowns have confirmed three departures this week: Thapelo Maseko completed a move to Denmark’s FC Copenhagen, Thato Sibiya joined Lille in France on loan (with a purchase option), and goalkeeper Jody February left on loan. Coach Miguel Cardoso has hinted at incoming transfers, targeting reinforcements at centre-back, midfield, and right back, especially after Khuliso Mudau’s injury. Expected signings include Thabang Matuludi, Yusuf Maart, Luke Le Roux, and Olisa Ndah, as Sundowns look to bolster their squad for a challenging season ahead.

Mamelodi Sundowns have seen three players depart the club this week. Two of those moves have been to European clubs, whilst three new signings are being targeted.
Maseko Completed Denmark Move
The first confirmed exit saw Thapelo Maseko, scorer of a goal at the FIFA World Cup 2026, sign for FC Copenhagen.
The left-footed winger was not in the plans of coach Miguel Cardoso. FC Copenhagen have paid approximately €800,000 (approximately R15 million) to Sundowns, according to Danish publication Bold.
Sibiya Lands in France
The next major exit saw young left back Thato Sibiya sign for a French Ligue 1 club. LOSC Lille have secured the South Africa under-20 international on a loan deal.
The transfer contains an option to turn the deal into a permanent move. Sibiya had one year left on his contract with the Brazilians.
The third exit saw goalkeeper Jody February join Siwelele on a season-long loan deal.
Three Sundowns Signings Incoming?
Mamelodi Sundowns coach Miguel Cardoso said last week: "I still think that here and there, in the middle, in the back, we need something more.
“Let’s hope it’s something the club is working on, because the season is very tough.
“I think, yeah, centre-back, midfielder, maybe something there on the right. Let’s see what is possible to do."
After the long-term injury to Khuliso Mudau, an imminent bid for Polokwane City right back Thabang Matuludi is expected.
Other targets include Yusuf Maart of SV Reid, Luke Le Roux of Portsmouth and former Stellenbosch centre back Olisa Ndah.
