Mamelodi Sundowns vs Siwelele Predictions - Brazilians to bounce back in PSL

Mamelodi Sundowns are set to face Siwelele in a crucial PSL match. While Sundowns have drawn three of their last five league games, they remain strong favorites given their 12 wins in 15 matches and solid defensive record. Siwelele, despite a one-loss-in-14 run, have lost key attacking players and struggled to win, recording ten draws in that stretch. With Sundowns predicted to win 1-0 and Siwelele's forward line depleted, the recommendation is a Sundowns win to nil.

  • Sundowns have 12 wins in the last 15 PSL games and strong defensive stats.
  • Siwelele miss five key attackers and top goalkeeper Ricardo Goss.
  • Prediction: Sundowns to win 1-0, keeping a clean sheet.

Mamelodi Sundowns vs Siwelele Predictions

Sundowns are tipped to return to winning ways. A victory to zero is my prediction as Siwelele are missing five experienced forwards.

Key Stats – Sundowns to Bounce Back

  • Mamelodi Sundowns have won 12 of their last 15 PSL matches.
  • Mamelodi Sundowns have kept 6 clean sheets in their last 8 matches.
  • Siwelele are winless in 13 of their last 14 away matches (7 losses).
  • Siwelele have failed to score in their last 3 away matches.

Head to Head – First Meeting Ended Level

These clubs met for the first time in December.

It finished in a 1-1 draw in Bloemfontein.

Sundowns with 12 Wins in 15 League Matches – Three Draws in the Last Four

Sundowns have drawn three of their last five league matches, meaning the title race is out of their hands. They’re into the CAF Champions League final for the second season in a row.

After beating Esperance 2-0 on aggregate in the CAF Champions League semi-finals, they drew successive league matches: 1-1 at home vs Stellenbosch and 0-0 draw at Richards Bay.

A 1-0 away win at Polokwane City was followed by a 3-0 home victory vs the same opponents four days later. In midweek, Sundowns could only draw 1-1 at home vs Kaizer Chiefs in a costly result.

One Loss in 14 – But Solid Siwelele with Just Three Wins

Siwelele’s last 14 PSL matches have seen just a single defeat. They have ten draws during that streak.

They lost 1-0 at Chippa United and drew 1-1 at home vs AmaZulu. They drew 0-0 at both Marumo Gallants and Golden Arrows.

A fine 2-0 win at home to Kaizer Chiefs saw 2.67 xG allowed. In midweek, they could only draw 2-2 at home to Durban City as they allowed 1.85 xG.

Predicted Lineups & Team News

Mamelodi Sundowns (4-2-3-1): Williams; Mudau, Kekana, Ndamane, Modiba; Mokoena, Allende; Morena, Santos, Matthews; Rayners.

Coach Miguel Cardoso is without defender Keanu Cupido after a serious injury. Monnapule Saleng should return to the fold after injury.

Attacking midfielder Arthur Sales and defender Mothobi Mvala are back in training. Jayden Adams is suspended in the engine room.

Siwelele (4-4-2): Xulu; Mfolozi, Mobbie, Ndebele, Rapoo; Potsane, Mokhouane, Margeman, Jeza; Lungu, Mazibuko.

Siwelele could be without five senior attacking players. Strikers Samir Nurkovic, Chibuike Ohizu and Zakhele Lepasa are out injured.

Wingers Vincent Pule and Christian Saile are ruled out. Ricardo Goss is ineligible to face his parent club in goal - a major blow.

Verdict

I see Sundowns winning to zero. I'm tipping a 1-0 win.
