Stellenbosch FC have continued to reshape their squad, adding Ghanaian goalkeeper Solomon Agbasi, midfielder Darrel Matsheke and Njabulo Blom ahead of the 2026/27 campaign. 

The three additions bring a mix of experience and familiarity to Gavin Hunt’s squad. 

Solomon Agbasi Joins Stellenbosch FC


Stellenbosch FC have completed the signing of Ghana international goalkeeper Solomon Agbasi on a long-term deal. 

The 25-year-old joins from Accra Hearts of Oak after previously featuring for Dreams FC and was also part of Ghana’s 2026 FIFA World Cup travelling squad as a reserve goalkeeper.

Darrel Matsheke Returns for Second Stellies Spell


Darrel Matsheke has returned to Stellenbosch FC for a second spell after previously representing the club during the 2023/24 season. 

The midfielder made 12 appearances during his first stint and was part of the squad that won the Carling Knockout, scoring the winning penalty in the shootout against TS Galaxy in the final.

Njabulo Blom Arrives on Season-Long Loan


Stellenbosch FC have brought in Njabulo Blom on a season-long loan from Indonesian Super League side Borneo Samarinda. 

The 26-year-old utility player became the club’s 15th signing of the new season, having previously played for Kaizer Chiefs, MLS side St Louis City, and clubs in Vietnam and Indonesia.
