Jamaica Kingsmen Form

After losing their opening match of the tournament off the last ball, the Kingsmen suffered further frustration when they went down to the Tridents by five runs in their second match.

Hassan Khan (1/19, econ 6.33) was the only Kingsmen bowler to escape heavy punishment as the Tridents piled on 206/3 off their 20 overs. Jediah Blades and Andre Russell also picked up a wicket apiece.

Keacy Carty (45 off 27) and Rovman Powell (38 off 24) rescued the Kingsmen from 8/3, adding 50 for the fourth wicket. The Kingsmen slipped to 1327 in the 14th over before some power hitting from Andre Russell (68 off 38, with nine sixes) and Vitel Lawes (32 off 20, four sixes) took them to the brink of victory, only to fall five runs short of their target.

Guyana Amazon Warriors Form

The Warriors won a low-scoring final in the Global Super League when they beat the San Francisco Unicorns by six runs at the start of August.

Dwaine Pretorius (17* off 30) and Matthew Forde (28 off 23) rescued the Warriors from 29/8 and lifted them to a score of 85 off 18.5 overs.

Dwaine Pretorius (3/24), Mohammad Nabi (3/12) and Imran Tahir (2/16) wrecked the Unicorns reply to bowl them out for 79 off 18.3 overs to clinch the title.
