Derbyshire are backed to beat out Sussex.
Essex should be in for a hammering from in-form Worcestershire.
Hampshire are likely to struggle against in-form Durham.
Kent and Notts to play out a tight tussle.

Derbyshire vs Sussex

Derbyshire have won three of their last four completed matches against Sussex. Both sides lost their opening three matches before claiming wins in their last match. Sussex pulled off a magnificent chase in their last match, hitting 320/5 off 49.2 overs to claim a magnificent five-wicket win.

Opener Charlie Tear played a leading role in the win, scoring 73 off 72 balls in setting a great foundation for the middle order to chase down their target. Tear has scored 40*, 118 and 73 in his last five innings, so I’m backing him to be among the runs again.

Essex vs Worcestershire

Essex are down in seventh place in Group B after losing three of their four One-Day Cup matches. Worcestershire are backed to win this clash after winning three of their four matches.

Jake Libby scored a magnificent 109* as Worcestershire chased down a target of 294/6 off 48.4 overs to beat out Middlesex. Daniel Lategan has my backing to score runs against Essex after innings of 29, 64, 67 and 26 in his last four knocks.

Hampshire vs Durham

Durham have three wins from three Group B matches, while Hampshire have a 50% record this season. Ben Stokes has been in the runs for Durham, scoring 108* & 73* in his last four knocks.

I’m leaning towards backing Durham’s Will Rhodes, who has scored 45, 8*, 148* and 31 in his last four knocks, so that consistency has me impressed.

Kent vs Nottinghamshire

Notts were on a roll after winning their opening three matches before hitting the wall against Lancashire, losing by 31 runs. Kent rebounded from back-to-back defeats by snagging a two-wicket win over Somerset in their last match.

Daniel Bell-Drummond has been in superb form with the bat for Kent, smashing scores of 47, 47, 56 * & 100 in his last five knocks and is worth backing to be in the runs again. Notts’ Kyle Verreynne has been in the runs, scoring 27, 68*, 35 and 61 and would also be worth backing to be in the runs.

Charlie Tear and Will Rhodes to top-score for their sides, while Daniel Lategban and Daniel Bell-Drummond are both backed to be in the runs.
