Kenya suffered their second consecutive defeat at the 2026 Women's Africa Cup of Nations on Thursday, losing 1-0 to Senegal.

The Harambee Starlets had 51% possession and 22 shots in the match, with six attempts on target.  

Kenya had a poor start to the tournament, losing to host nation Morocco by four goals to nil. 

The Harambee Starlets have secured one victory in their last five fixtures, with four defeats. They scored seven goals and conceded eight. 

Kenya have been out of sorts lately, losing six of their last eight matches, which is not the ideal form to have when facing Algeria in their final group-stage game. 

Algeria Women Form


Algeria came away empty-handed in their Women's Africa Cup of Nations clash against Morocco on Thursday, losing 1-0.

The Fennecs had 51% possession and three shots in the game, with two attempts on target.  

Before that performance, Algeria had a solid start to their Women's Africa Cup of Nations campaign, beating Senegal 2-0. 

The Fennecs have won two of their last five fixtures, with two defeats and one draw. They scored four goals and conceded four. 

Algeria have been in decent nick, with four wins in their last eight matches, and have an opportunity to reach the quarter-finals for the second time in a row with a victory against struggling Kenya.
