Mali vs Cape Verde Women Predictions - Mali to edge Cape Verde

Mali Women, despite a run of draws and a recent loss to Cameroon, enter their WAFCON match against Cape Verde as favorites due to their stronger form. Cape Verde, who have failed to score in their last five fixtures and suffered four losses, also have a key player suspended after a red card in their last match. Given both teams’ recent performances—Mali’s ability to at least secure draws and Cape Verde’s attacking struggles—the prediction is for Mali to win without conceding, likely by a narrow 1-0 margin.

Mali Women Form

Mali faced Cameroon in their opening Women's Africa Cup of Nations Group D match on Wednesday, losing by two goals to one.

The Women Eagles had 33% possession and nine shots in the game, with two attempts on target.

Before that, Mali contested three friendly internationals between June and July. They drew 0-0 and 2-2 with Burkina Faso before losing 1-0 to the Ivory Coast.

The Women Eagles have drawn three of their last five matches, with two defeats. They scored four goals and conceded six.

Mali have not been at their best lately and have often drawn their matches, but they will have the belief that they can secure their first victory in this edition of WAFCON when they take on a struggling Cape Verde side.

Cape Verde Women Form

Cape Verde made little impact in their WAFCON opener against Ghana on Wednesday, losing by two goals to nil.

The Blue Sharks had 36% possession and six shots in the match, with one attempt on target.

Before the start of the tournament, Cape Verde did not have much success in three internationals played between June and July. They lost 3-0 and drew 0-0 against the Ivory Coast before losing 5-0 to Morocco.

The Blue Sharks have lost four of their last five matches, with one draw. They scored zero goals and conceded 13.

Cape Verde have been struggling for form lately, losing six of their last eight fixtures, and will require an improvement in their overall performance to beat Mali, as they have been lacking goals too.
