South Africa leveled the series after a horrid opening match, so we now have a decider. I’m backing the hosts to continue their renewed confidence.

Head to Head
South Africa bounced back to win the 2nd ODI against India to level the series at 1-1.
South Africa Form
South Africa were humiliated in the first ODI when India bowled them out for 116 runs. However, they bounced back strongly in the second game to level the series with an eight-wicket win themselves.
Bowling first, Nandre Burger was superb, taking 3-30 in 10 overs. He helped restrict India to a below-par total of 211 runs on a difficult batting pitch.
In reply, the Proteas put on 130 runs for the opening stand. Reeza Hendricks scored 52 runs while Tony de Zorzi ended on 119*. They chased the score inside 43 overs.
South Africa Injuries & Team News
South Africa made a few changes in the 2nd ODI and could do so again this time around.
India Form
After a crushing win to take the series lead, India would have been confident of claiming the series with a game to spare. However, they struggled with the bat in the 2nd ODI.
Sai Sudharsan top scored again for India with 62 runs while KL Rahul added 56 in the middle order. No one else managed to kick on though and India were eventually all out for 211 runs.
While the bowlers were economical to start with, they didn’t take the early wickets required to defend the below-par total. The hosts ended up cruising to an eight-wicket win.
India Injuries & Team News
The series is on the line, but one would imagine India will give the rest of the players in the squad a run for this game.
Verdict
South Africa are backed to win at even money with Tony de Zorzi set for another top score.
For India, Sai Sudharsan is backed in the run scoring market.
