Zimbabwe suffered just their second loss in six matches against Bangladesh during this tour when they went down to the Tigers by 34 runs.

Zimbabwe’s bowlers did well to rein in the Bangladesh top order and hold them to 186/5 off their 20 overs after a late flurry of sixes. Richard Ngarava (2/23, econ 5.75) was the pick of the bowlers, with Brad Evans (2/65) also claiming two scalps, although he took some stick at the end, going for 16.25 runs to the over.

Zimbabwe were in trouble at 21/3 but recovered thanks to Sikandar Raza (28 off 12), Ryan Burl (29 off 19) and Brad Evans (25 off 14). With none of the Zimbabwe batters able to kick on they were bowled out for 152 with two balls remaining.

Bangladesh Form

Bangladesh levelled the T20I series at 1-1 ahead of the deciding match of the series. Bangladesh will be eager to win this match to leave Africa with a series win, rather than having lost the Test and both whiteball series to their hosts.

Saif Hassan (55 off 45) and Tanzid Hasan (58 off 44) got Bangladesh off to a great start by adding 120 for the first wicket inside the first 15 overs. Some big hitting at the end from Yasir Ali (22* of 12) and Mohammad Saifuddin (31 off 10) lifted them to 186/5 off their 20 overs.

Superb bowling from Rishad Hossain (4/26, econ 7.09) and Mahedi Hasan (3/24, econ 6.00) rolled Zimbabwe for 152 off 19.4 overs, with both bowlers picking up three of Zimbabwe's top seven batters.
