The Netherlands have already claimed a spot in the World Cup 2026 playoffs and now battle for placement in Group F, currently sharing 1st place with Japan.

Oranje had the lead twice in the opening match against Japan, Virgil van Dijk breaking deadlock right after the break, while Crysencio Summerville scored a beauty to restore advantage. Ultimately, they had to settle for a 2-2 draw.
