Sundowns Sign Central Midfielder
Mamelodi Sundowns have officially announced the signing of Stellenbosch FC midfielder, Jayden Adams. The Bafana Bafana international represented his country as the Africa Cup of Nations in 2024 and has strongly been linked with Sundowns for a while.

Adams has signed a three-and-a-half-year contract which contains an option for the club to extend for an extra year.
The creative midfielder has played as a number eight, as a number eight in a 4-3-3 formation and in the double pivot of late. He scored nine goals for Stellenbosch and provided 10 assists in 139 appearances.
Stellenbosch Call Off Signing of Sundowns Winger
During the talks for Jayden Adams, Stellenbosch agreed a fee with Sundowns for left-footed winger, Lesiba Nku.
However, that transfer has broken now over the player’s salary demands. It remains to be seen if the deal can be revived or if a loan move can be reached with his parent club subsidising his salary initially.

Reports in Soccer Laduma have stated that the fee for Jayden Adams will be R23 million. That represents a hefty sum for the 23-year-old in an area where Sundowns are already well stocked.
The engine room features options such as Marcello Allende, Rivaldo Coetzee, Teboho Mokoena, Sphelele Mkhulise, Lebohang Maboe, Bathusi Aubaas and others.
Adams could make his debut in Mamelodi Sundowns’ trip to face Magesi FC in the Betway Premiership next Wednesday, 22 January.
