Wales then beat Turkey 2-0 with Gareth Bale missing a penalty but assisting both goals for Aaron Ramsey and Connor Roberts.

Wales lost 1-0 against Italy in their final group game. They were trailing when Ethan Ampadu was sent off in the 55th minute and were comprehensively outplayed in Rome.

Denmark Form


Denmark came into the European Championship having won nine of their previous 11 matches. 

Kasper Hjulmand’s side had an eventful opener at Euro 2020, losing 1-0 against Finland. Christian Eriksen suffered a cardiac arrest, Denmark having 70% possession, 22-1 shots and Pierre-Emile Højbjerg seeing his penalty saved.

The Danes played well against Belgium but lost 2-1. Yussuf Poulsen opened the scoring in the 2nd minute, they led at half time but couldn’t stop Kevin De Bruyne in the second half.

Denmark beat Russia 4-1 in their final match. Goals to Mikkel Damsgaard and Yussuf Poulsen made it 2-0, they conceded a penalty but finished strong with goals to Andreas Christensen and Joakim Maehle wrapping it up.
