In a tight contest, the Heat did manage to win their last game, beating the in-form Sydney Thunder by five wickets. The Thunder scored 173 runs batting first.

A slow start kept the game close but Max Bryant’s 72 off 35 balls steered the Heat to victory. Matt Renshaw also continued his fine form with an unbeaten 48 runs.

While the Heat will be eager to get some more runs at the top of the order, they are not likely to make wholesale changes. However, they do have Usman Khawaja and Marnus Labuschagne back in the squad.
