Bulls vs Pumas Predictions

The Bulls have been out of sorts in this edition of the Currie Cup so far and lost heavily to the Pumas at home last season. The Pumas secured their first win of the season in their previous match and have had success away to the Bulls in recent clashes.

  • Pumas have won 3 of their last 5 away matches (Currie Cup).
  • Pumas have won 2 consecutive away games against the Bulls (Currie Cup).
  • Bulls have lost 3 consecutive fixtures (Currie Cup).
  • Bulls lost to the Pumas by 34 points last season (Currie Cup).

Head to Head

The Vodacom Bulls have the advantage over the Airlink Pumas, with 14 victories to six in 20 meetings in the Carling Currie Cup since 2010.

Bulls Form

The Bulls crashed to their third defeat in a row in this edition of the Currie Cup last weekend, losing 42-19 to the Lions away from home after trailing 28-0 at the break.

Before that, the team from Pretoria lost to the Boland 24-10 away from home in their season opener and were thumped 56-26 by the Griquas in Kimberley.

The Bulls are last in the Carling Currie Cup standings with one point from three matches.

The Vodacom Bulls have had a wretched start to their campaign, losing all their matches, and will have to improve their performance against the Pumas to win their first game of the season, as they have suffered back-to-back defeats to their opponents at home.

Pumas Form

The Pumas picked up their first victory of the season last weekend, beating Boland 20-15 away from home after leading 10-5 at half-time.

At the start of their Currie Cup campaign, the Pumas lost 26-24 to the Sharks at home and 52-29 to the Lions away from home.

The team from Mpumalanga are sixth in the Carling Currie Cup table with seven points after three rounds.

The Airlink Pumas will be pleased to have come away with a victory in their previous match and will have the belief they can beat the Bulls in their own backyard this weekend, having defeated their hosts 41-7 last season.
