Mamelodi Sundowns Form

Sundowns are feeling the pressure at the top of the PSL for the first time in a decade. Usually at this point they are well clear of the field, but Pirates currently sit three points clear.

The Pretoria-based outfit will certainly rest a host of players in this match with far bigger clashes ahead, particularly their weekend match in the CAF Champions League.

Sundowns have won their last two PSL games to nil, beating Sekhukhune United and Orbit College 2-0. This past weekend they suffered a setback in the CAF Champions League when they lost 2-1 at Al-Hilal.

Gomora United are a true fairytale side of the Nedbank Cup. They play in the Motsepe Foundation League in Ekurhuleni, Johannesburg and basically only play regional teams.

Gomora United were only established in 2020 but have performed and a relatively good level since. Whether they can challenge one of the top sides on the African continent remains to be seen.
