This is a huge PSL clash for both sides. It is second vs third and whoever wins, goes top. A draw is enough to send Pirates top though. While Pirates have won 10 of their last 11 in the PSL, I fancy AmaZulu to get a point at home as they have also won their last three games.

AmaZulu are enjoying a stellar league campaign and currently hold fourth place on the table, just two points off Pirates, however, they have played two games more than their opponents.

With nine wins in 16 matches, AmaZulu are seeing unprecedented success in this campaign. The question remains whether they can continue that form going into the business end of the competition.

AmaZulu were impressive away to Marumo Gallants on Saturday, beating them 1-0 away from home. Prior to that victory, AmaZulu defeated TS Galaxy 3-2 in a cracking affair at home.

Orlando Pirates Form

Orlando Pirates will go to the top of the PSL table if they avoid defeat to high-flying AmaZulu. Currently the Buccaneers are second on the table with 32 points, level with Sundowns at the top but with a worse goal difference.

Pirates are in superb form in the PSL, having won 10 of their last 11 league games and 17 of their last 19 in all competitions.

They drew 1-1 at home to Mamelodi Sundowns before five straight wins going into the mid-season hiatus. A 3-1 win at Golden Arrows was followed by a 1-0 win over Richards Bay in the Carling Knockout Cup semi-finals

Pirates then defeated Chippa United 2-0 and won 2-0 away to Durban City before a 1-0 win over Marumo Gallants in the Carling Knockout final.

This past weekend, Pirates secured another three points, beating Magesi 2-0 at home in the PSL, a result that took them level with Sundowns with a game in hand.
