Cameroon vs Comoros

Cameroon are in 45th place in the FIFA rankings while the Comoros are down in 108th spot. The home side have picked up four wins and a draw in their last seven matches and have kept four clean sheets in their last 10 matches.

The Comoros lost seven and drew two matches on the bounce before squeezing home for a 1-0 win over Equatorial Guinea. They’ve failed to score in five of their last seven matches, so against a strong Comoros side I’m backing them to fail to find the net again.

Ivory Coast vs Ghana

Ivory Coast are 31st in the FIFA rankings and won seven of their last 10 matches. They kept two clean sheets in the recent World Cup but went down to both Germany and Norway by a 2-1 scoreline. They have six clean sheets in 10 matches so their defence is strong.

Ghana are unlikely to present much opposition after racking up seven defeats in their last 10 matches, failing to score in five of those matches. They pulled off a great 0-0 draw against England in the World Cup after beating Panama 1-0 in their opener.

Ghana's defeats to Croatia and Colombia were both by one-goal margins, so they have the players to put pressure on top sides, so I’m backing them to lose to Ivory Coast but to pick up at least one goal.

Sierra Leone vs Zimbabwe

Sierra Leone have suffered three defeats in their last five matches but have scored five times in their last four. This will be their first clash with Zimbabwe and judging by the close margins of victory or defeat in their last 10 matches this looks like it could be a tight clash.

Zimbabwe have three wins in their last four matches, keeping a clean sheet in all three victories. They went down 3-2 to South Africa in December and 2-0 to Nigeria in May, but facing 122nd-ranked Sierra Leone I’m backing 130th-ranked Zimbabwe to hold out for a draw.

Tunisia vs Uganda

Tunisia have an excellent footballing pedigree and are strong favourites to claim the win. They’ve lost their last five matches in a row, scoring just twice, but those defeats were all against top-ranked sides.

Tunisia have beaten Uganda in their four previous meetings - including a 3-1 win back in December - and I’m backing them to pick up another comfortable win.

Uganda have three defeats and a draw in their last four matches and have scored 13 goals in their last nine matches, so this is stacking up as a Tunisia win with both teams to score.

I’m backing a clean sheet win for Cameroon, wins for Ivory Coast and Tunisia, and a draw between Sierra Leone and Zimbabwe.
