Malawi Form
Malawi’s form coming into the COSAFA Cup was poor with very few good results behind them. During the March World Cup qualifiers, they suffered defeat at home to Namibia and away to Tunisia, failing to score in either fixture.
They did beat South Africa 1-0 at home in the first leg of the African Nations qualification round but lost the second leg 2-0.
In their COSAFA Cup opener, Malawi lost 1-0 to Lesotho before drawing 0-0 against Namibia over the weekend. Victory is a must for Malawi if they wish to progress.

Angola Form
Prior to the COSAFA Cup, Angola had lost two, drawn one and won one of their previous four games. That said, Angola had been on an incredible run of form up to that point, particularly on home soil.
Angola began the 2025 COSAFA Cup with a 1-1 draw against Namibia. They took the lead in the 91st minute but then conceded in the 97th. Last time out, Angola thrashed Lesotho 4-0.
Victor Pedro Nanque gave Angola the lead on 42 minutes before Depu bagged a hattrick to secure a very comfortable win.
