Chippa United vs Orlando Pirates
Stellenbosch FC vs Mamelodi Sundowns

The PSL announced the fixture information with the following statement:

The semifinal showdown will commence with the clash between 2021 finalists Chippa United and defending champions Orlando Pirates at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium on Saturday, 04 May 2024.

The excitement continues on Sunday, 05 May 2024, at Danie Craven Stadium in the Western Cape, where Stellenbosch FC and Mamelodi Sundowns will vie for a spot in the final.

Both fixtures are scheduled to kick off at 15h00, ensuring convenient travel logistics for football fans.

Cup Final Venue Announced


The PSL’s official press release confirmed the venue for the 2024 Nedbank Cup final: 

The majestic Mbombela Stadium in Mpumalanga province has been selected as the venue for the 2023/24 Nedbank Cup final, scheduled to take place on Saturday, 01 June 2024. 

This marks the second time the iconic 2010 FIFA World Cup venue will host the Nedbank Cup final, following the memorable 2011 final when Orlando Pirates secured a 3-1 victory over Black Leopards at the same venue.

Nedbank Announces Team of the Round


Nedbank have announced their best XI of the quarter-finals. 

In goal, Chippa United’s Stanley Nwabali made the cut after saving a penalty in the 2-0 win over TS Galaxy. His teammate is selected in defence. 

The rest of the back four is comprised of Mamelodi Sundowns’ Grant Kekana and Stellenbosch FC duo Fawaaz Basadien and Ismael Toure. 

The four players selected in midfield are Bathusi Aubaas (Mamelodi Sundowns), Devon Titus and Andre De Jong (Stellenbosch FC) and Orlando Pirates’ two-goal hero Patrick Maswanganyi. 

Lucas Ribeiro Costa of Sundowns and Stellies’ speed merchant Iqraam Rayners make up the attack. The latter scored one goal and assisted another as Stellenbosch beat SuperSport United 4-0.
