AmaZulu vs Siwelele Predictions - BTTS Yes in Home Win for Usuthu

AmaZulu are expected to edge a win over Siwelele, despite their inconsistent form and defensive issues. Siwelele, currently rebuilding after a player exodus, remain winless on the road in 10 matches and are struggling to convert chances into victories. Key absentees affect both teams, but AmaZulu maintain a better recent record at home. The article recommends backing a home win, anticipating both teams to score, but AmaZulu to secure three crucial points as Siwelele's away troubles continue.

  • AmaZulu tipped for home victory, both teams likely to score.
  • Siwelele winless in last 10 away matches, still rebuilding after departures.
  • Key players missing for both teams, but AmaZulu's form gives them the edge.

AmaZulu vs Siwelele Predictions

AmaZulu are conceding goals but their form is decent in the league. Siwelele struggle on the road. I see the visitors getting a goal but losing the match.

Key Stats – Home Win Tipped

  • AmaZulu have won 2 of their last 3 PSL matches.
  • AmaZulu have seen BTTS Yes in 7 of their las 8 home matches.
  • Siwelele have lost 2 of their last 3 away matches.
  • Siwelele are winless in 10 away matches (4 losses, 6 draws).
  • Siwelele have seen BTTS Yes in 2 of their last 3 away matches.

Head to Head – Just Two Meetings

These clubs have met just twice in the past.

AmaZulu won 2-0 at home last season before the return fixture finished 1-1.

AmaZulu’s Inconsistent Form – Three Wins in 11

AmaZulu have had a mixed start to the season. They went out of the MTN8 cup but have four points from two tough league games so far.

Last season ended with a 1-0 home loss to Kaizer Chiefs and a 1-0 win at Durban City on the final day. This season began with a 1-0 win vs Stellenbosch in Durban as they scored from a penalty.

Last Sunday, they lost 4-3 at home to Sekhukhune United in the MTN8. AmaZulu bounced back in midweek to take a 1-1 draw with Orlando Pirates at home after growing into the game.

Two Wins in 11 – Siwelele Rebuilding After 24 Departures

Siwelele’s last 18 PSL matches have seen just three losses, but they’re drawing too many fixtures. A loss in midweek was a disappointing result.

A 7-4 loss vs Mamelodi Sundowns saw 4.23 xG allowed. They bounced back to beat Magesi 1-0 before a 2-2 draw on the final day at Sekhukhune United.

This season began with a 2-2 draw at home to TS Galaxy. In midweek, they lost 1-0 at newly promoted Milford despite dominating 15-10 on the shot count.

Predicted Lineups & Team News

AmaZulu (3-4-3): Kouassi; Mthethwa, Fielies, Hanamub; Radebe, Maduna, Hlangabeza, Mdaka; Zikhali, Ngwenya, Maqokola.

Coach Arthur Zwane could hand a debut to midfielder Sphesihle Maduna after he joined from TS Galaxy. Thando Ngwenya is set to play up front after four goals so far this season already.

Goalkeeper Darren Johnson and goalscoring midfielder Hendrick Ekstein are both ruled out.

Siwelele (4-4-2): Phoko; Mfolozi, Ngcobo, Ndebele, Baliti; Thulo, Kobedi, Margeman, Potsane; Jeza, Pule.

Siwelele have lost some key players. Those include goalkeeper Ricardo Goss and speedy winger Ghampani Lungu, who was sold to Orlando Pirates.

Thabiso Sesane is suspended in defence after a red card. Tebogo Potsane is set to be recalled down the left wing.

Verdict

I'm backing BTTS Yes and AmaZulu to win the match.
